Sorry to barge in here. Don't know where else to ask this question.
Anyone know what has happened to eyeplaygames.com. It was a really
good clone of the game RoboRally. However I've been getting an
"unknown host" error for a while now. Were they finally forced off
the 'net due to copyright issues?

I haven't been able to access it either. I don't see why they should.
The game had totally different graphics and some significantly
different rules to do with priority etc.

I haven't been able to access it either. I don't see why they should.

You can only copyright the graphics and exact text of the rules (and
probably trademark the name). You cannot copyright how the game plays.

But with Microsoft buying up licenses to produce games online
(Carcassonne, Settlers, Puerto Rico), and the money they can throw at
their lawyers, this may be enough to scare some people in to hiding.

I don't think it's copyright issues. as other's mentioned the game was
similar in concept but the mechanics and graphics were different.

I've been trying to reach it as well.
the domain reg doesn't expire until April.
the name servers aren't responding, however it seems the hosting company
is still active.

This afternoon I tried emailing bussibaer who runs the ladder to see if
he knows anything.

Will post here if i find out anything.
